Weathering the Storms at One Man Ranch

Greetings from One Man Ranch. Recently, severe storms swept through our region, bringing heavy rainfall and strong weather conditions. Thankfully, our ranch was spared from any significant damage. While the storms passed safely by us, we did receive a substantial amount of rain—so far totaling nearly five inches. Despite the downpours, our cattle are doing very well. They have remained healthy and resilient throughout the rainy conditions, and we’re grateful that the land continues to support them even during challenging weather.

Like many agricultural operations across the country, we are currently navigating a period of uncertainty in the cattle market. Global events have begun to ripple through the farming industry in ways that affect everyday operations on the ranch. In particular, the ongoing conflict involving Iran has contributed to increases in fertilizer prices and diesel fuel costs, both of which are essential inputs for maintaining a working ranch. These rising costs impact everything from maintaining pastures to transporting feed and supplies.

At One Man Ranch, we are always committed to being thoughtful stewards of both our land and our business. Over the past several months, we have carefully reviewed every aspect of our operation to find ways to keep expenses as manageable as possible. We have evaluated our inputs, adjusted where we can, and looked for efficiencies that will allow us to continue producing high-quality beef for our customers.

However, even with these efforts, the rising costs across the agricultural sector mean that a price adjustment has become necessary. In order for the ranch to remain sustainable and continue operating, we will be implementing a price increase on our products beginning April 1, 2026.

This decision was not made lightly. In fact, the significant rise in operating expenses led us to seriously consider whether we would need to close our doors altogether. After much reflection and evaluation, we have decided that One Man Ranch will remain open throughout 2026. Our commitment to raising quality cattle and serving our community remains strong, and we are grateful for the continued support from our customers and neighbors.

Ranching has always required resilience, adaptability, and faith in the future. While the road ahead may hold challenges, we remain dedicated to providing responsibly raised beef and maintaining the values that One Man Ranch was built upon.

Thank you for supporting local agriculture and standing with us as we move forward into the coming year.
